Get Ready For St. Valentine's Day!

February 14th is coming, couples are getting ready to celebrate! Billions of dollars are spent each year on gifts and cards in US. It is the most popular holiday after Christmas.

My family lives in Russia so I celebrated Christmas by myself. And I don't have a loving boyfriend who will give me flowers or a card on Valentine's Day.

Should I just spend this day as any other weekday? Should I deny the existence of this romantic holiday? It is always my choice! I think we can create a fest any day we want! Every day of our life is a gift! Every day brings us some beauty! And if you want to celebrate St. Valentine's Day you don't need to have a partner for that. To me this day is about love. And love is within us if we want it to be there.

I believe that there is no person in this world who is not loved by someone. You can be loved by your parent, by your child, by your friend or by your neighbor, or maybe by your dog or your cat. I believe that God loves me and that he takes care of me! Sometimes we crave for love from one person and do not notice the one who is always there for us, we do not appreciate the one who loves us unconditionally. On this day I want to thank my family and my friends who give me their love every day. And I am wishing everyone to be grateful for what you have rather than be focusing on something that you cannot get.

If you are single on February 14th I still encourage you to celebrate St. Valentine's Day in your very own way. Give love to your family and friends. Open your heart to this universal energy of love. Let other people see love shining through you. Let your eyes and your smile give happiness to everyone who is coming your way! It is hard to be loving every day but maybe for this one day we can try to be nice and kind to each other? Let's make this holiday not just for couples but for everyone around us. We all deserve to be loved!

And don't forget to give some love to yourself! You are unique and precious! You should take care of yourself and love your life. Let this day be a reminder of how wonderful and lovable you are. Enjoy your own company, find some time to do the things that you like, give yourself a gift. You can even sign the card for yourself, why not? I think it would be fun! Be creative! In order to love others we must learn how to love ourselves. So try to understand what do you really want. Show to Universe what you dream about. Instead of complaining about not having a boyfriend or a girlfriend just take care of yourself and make this day special without any external help!
