Just Another Good Day

Yesterday I left my home at 6:20 AM. It was raining, sky was all gray, just one solid color. I don't believe in good or bad weather, I think it is fun to see how it changes. So I wasn't upset or depressed. I was driving to work, drinking my tea and listening to some talk on Insight Timer App. Kennedy Expressway was really packed. My speed was less than 25 miles per hour in average. So I woke up at 5:15 AM and realized that I would still be late. Was I mad? Not really. I enjoyed my drive in spite of slow speed. I was grateful for the opportunity to listen to interesting podcast, for drinking my nice hot tea and for looking at the beautiful trees' silhouettes, I love the way their dark leaves-less branches look on the solid-color background.

Eventually in 1 hour and 40 minutes or so I got to the office. I had a great day yesterday, but I knew that tomorrow will be even better.

This morning I woke up late. It's Friday - time to relax! I didn't want to hurry. I listened to couple of meditations and felt some ease. I left my place around 6:45 AM, later then I usually do. And I stopped by La Colombe to get my favorite latte. It was so yummy!

The weather was absolutely different! Sun was shining, sky had all shapes of light blue, some clouds were hanging in there. The nature was kind of singing: it's a great day, it's a great day!

I got to the office in less than 45 minutes (usually I drive at least an hour).

On my way to work I was thinking about changes. Yesterday and today are so different! And tomorrow there will be something new! I love the sky because it reminds me that everything comes and goes, that one day can be tough and not easy, but next day the sun will be shining and there will be no trace of previous darkness!

I think in our painful moments we need to use the energy that we collected when we have been surrounded by light. You take this light from people you love, from sun, from nature, from music, from sport, from great book, from so many places. And you have it within you. And I believe that gratitude helps us to accumulate this positive energy. And when you have the moment of pain you take this energy and use it for your growth.

The more we enjoy our lives the more energy we collect and generate! So look around you and try to find something beautiful in every moment of your life! It will help you to have the light within you, and it will brighten up your every day and every night no matter what!
