How To Stay Focused On Your Goals.


Hello my Dear Readers! Thank you for stopping by my page!

Today I want to talk about my goals. One of them is to be consistent with my articles. I try to publish them every Sunday. This morning I had a photo shoot and I woke up really early. And shooting took more time than I expected. To be honest, for a moment I felt lazy and didn't want to write anything and make a video. But as I have my goals, I was able to overcome my laziness! It is much easier to do something when you know exactly what to do! That is why I recommend you to create the list of goals for 2019. And I will share with you the way you can track your progress! I wrote down my goals after I read Brian Tracy 's book "No Excuses!"; in Chapter #4 "Self-Discipline and Goals" he says that the discipline of writing is very important. He describes really well how to work on your goals and how important they are. Brian says that they help you to get control over your life. Here is the link to his YouTube Channel - Brian Tracy

"When you decide on a goal, you override your failure mechanism, and you can change the direction of your life", - Brian Tracy.

The most important thing is to understand very clearly what exactly do you want. Then you write it down and you also write down very detailed action plan on how to get there. You must to be consistent and do something that related to your goals every day. 

I like how Brother David Steindl-Rast says: "You need to stop, look and go!". We need to stop and take a pause so our brain can become more focused. Once we get back to reality, we can look around and see what is going on externally, and internally. And when we collected all the information needed, we should go and do things. It is very important. We don't just stop and look, we must go as well. Without actions you cannot make a change. And a small stop and observation can help you to make the right decision on your action plan. 

For tracking purposes I use a Self-Journal. This is a great tool, where you can find sections for monthly, weekly and daily progress. It also has section for writing down things you need to improve, and things you did right. And you have a place to put on things you are grateful for every day. I think this journal really can help to train your brain not only to achieve your goals, but to be happy! Here is the link to it - Self Journal.

Besides writing down my goals I also created my very own visual board. It represents my desires, not goals, but it helps me to say focused and it makes me happy :-) 

I think that the most important thing on achieving your goals is making a decision. Just tell yourself that you want to change your life, you want to be successful and take responsibility for achieving your dreams! You are the only person who owes your life! No one will ever be able to make you happy unless you would want to work on yourself.
