Walking Meditation

I am on vacation right now and I don't have too much time for my blog. By I do want to follow my schedule of posting articles and videos every Sunday, so I still decided that I needed to work a little bit.

Today I am going to talk about walking meditation. This is one of the most pleasant meditations that I have tried! It is very simple and very joyful!
So what is walking meditation? It is just the process of focusing on your breath and your steps. When you breath in, say silently "Yes" every time you take a step. If your breath is deep and slow you probably can make four steps while you are breathing in. So in this case you would say, "Yes, yes, yes, yes". When you breath out, say "Thank you" every time you take a step while you are breathing out.
"Yes" means that you accept the life the way it is, you do not resist its flow, you are okay with everything around you. And "Thank you" means that you are grateful for every little thing you have! You walk and you remind yourself how beautiful life is.
When you are focused on your breath and your steps, your mind becomes so busy that it doesn't have the capacity to think about your problems anymore, and you give it some rest. You become calm and relaxed, you can even have smile on your face when you do walking meditation. It always brings smile to my face.
The great thing about this type of meditation is that you can do it every day without too much efforts. Just remember about it when you are walking to your car, or when you are walking from one building to another. Or even when you are walking from your bedroom to your kitchen!
The more you practice, the more mindful you are. And mindfulness makes us happy! Please try this simple meditation, give yourself a gift of mindfulness!
