Easy Meditation Technique.

Hi everyone! Today I want to share very simple meditation technique that you can apply anytime and anywhere!

My meditation is not about religion, it is not about Nirvana or some other unusual mental state. It is just a workout for your brain. The more you practice it, the better you will feel.

This technique has three steps.

1. First, you need to focus your attention on your breath. Notice how the air coming in and coming out of your nose (or mouth, whatever you prefer). You can also pay attention to your body, how your chest rises and falls, or how your stomach moves. So it should be all about the way you breath.

2. Second step is unavoidable. Sooner or later you will lose your attention and your mind will start to wonder. You can start thinking about dinner, about your friend, your work, about new TV show, it can be anything, but it won't be your breath anymore.

3. Third step is the most important one. It is the main point of meditation. It is the moment when you notice that you lost your attention and when you bring it back to your breath.

If you practice this technique once a day for just few minutes, in a while you will start notice your emotions, feelings, and mental formations as soon as they arise. And it will help you to control them. They say, "where your attention goes, your energy flows". Meditation can help you to keep your attention more or less out of negativity and stay in present moment.

I am not going to lie to you, this technique will not solve all the issues for you. But it will make your life a little bit easier. It's like eating healthy and exercise. If you do that it doesn't mean that you will never get sick, but at the same time it is better to eat veggies and do some cardio exercises, than watch TV shows on your couch all day long and eat chips. Mediation just brings a little bit of ease to your life, it helps you to reduce the amount of stress and to control your emotions better. Don't expect some extreme result out of it, just do it for overall well-being. It's like a vitamin for your brain.
