My Beautiful Goal.


Hi my dear readers!

I've been so productive lately, it makes me happy! But you know what makes me even happier? Few days ago I realized what should be my main goal in life. My goal is to be kind. Yes, just learn how to be kind no matter what!

I believe that strong people are kind. And I am not talking about fake kindness, when you are nice only because you want people to like you. Or not kindness only in situation when you are satisfied and things go the way you planned. Strong person is the one who can show compassion towards people who hurt him, or be nice even when he feels pain inside. This is the real strength, this is what I want to cultivate within myself.

I want to be someone, who doesn't spread negativity if I don't get what I want. I don't want to argue with people, I don't want to prove anything to anybody. I just want to be kind and compassionate. I know that if I train myself to stay kind in any situation, I will win.

Unfortunately, in the past I hurt some people, I did it because I was not mindful enough, because I was hurt, I was scared. But if I get stronger, I get kinder as well. And I believe in myself, I believe that I can stay compassionate in any situation. I don't want external environment affect my life principles. This is not how strong people live. When you are strong you become greater than your fear. And when you don't have fear, what's the point of being mean?

I noticed that if you want to be kind, you need to be aware of two things:

1. Unconscious anger. You might think of yourself as of an angel, but when things go not the way you planned, you can get angry without even noticing it. This is normal, our brain likes to be protective. But most of the times there is no reason for protection whatsoever. And in reality kindness is much better protection than aggression in modern society. Thousands of years ago it made sense to show everyone in the village that you can stand for yourself, but nowadays if you are too protective and aggressive you can only create troubles for yourself. So be mindful and pay attention on how your emotions trigger your actions.

2. Kindness brings pleasure. When you commit a selfless act of kindness, it just feels good. You might say something like, "I did a lot of kind actions but people were not nice to me". But then it wasn't selfless. If your goal is to get something in return, it is not a true kindness. True kindness is when you already have everything you need and you just want to make other people's life better by spreading your love. And when you do this, you can feel your power.

I want to be kind no matter what! I want to be better in this area! Are you with me? Let's be kind together!

PS: for the dress I am wearing on this photo I used McCall's Pattern M7686. It's a top pattern, but I made it a little bit longer and turned it into a dress! :-) This beautiful scuba knit fabric I got at Joann's.
