My Biggest Fears
Hi Everyone! Today is International Women's Day and I am wishing a lot of love and happiness to all women in the world!
In this article I want to talk about two fears that I have as a woman. But I am not going to complain about them, I want to share how I make a good use of my fears. We cannot avoid some events in our life, but we can find something beneficial in everything that happens to us, including our fears.
Here is the link to the video for my today's article: My Biggest Fears.
Fist of all, I am afraid of aging and losing my beauty. I like the way I look now, but I notice that my skin doesn't look like the way it looked like 10 years ago. I need to take more care of my body, eat healthy, otherwise my belly will grow really fast. And I know that this process is impossible to stop. But I also know that with wrinkles I am gaining more wisdom. The older I get, the smarter I become. And the best thing about getting older is that, the older you get - the better you know what you really want and need. And you don't waste your time, money and energy on things which do not serve you. You become more focused on your well-being and take a better care of yourself. I became much more efficient with age. And I know which things I need to avoid. The older I get, the better I know myself and this process of self-discovery is very pleasant!
My second fears is the fear of staying single forever. I am afraid that I will never find a boyfriend. I think a lot of women can relate to this type of thoughts. I think this fear contributed a lot to my self-development. Because I have it, I have to invest in myself. I must make myself strong enough, so I can overcome any difficulties without external help. The situation when you have no place to run is actually the best for our growth. If I didn't have this fear, I would probably relax and do nothing. I am very thankful that I have it and that it helps me so much to move towards achieving my goals.
Now try to look at your own fears. Maybe you can find something good about them? I know some people are afraid of losing their job, and this fear can help them to work on building new connections and improving professional skills. Sometimes our fears can make us closer to our family members or friends. Fears can also help to figure out what we value the most. They can be our good servants if we use them wisely. Try not to be defeated by your fears, but make a good use of them!
